  Words can't describe how much appreciation I have for Joy, but I'll try words anyway. Joy provided me with superb counsel during a very difficult time in my life. She is extremely competent and has expert knowledge of the law, which is what one wants in an attorney. She is extremely sensitive and has a great personality, which is what one want in a human being. The combination makes her a top choice.   My wife and I hired Joy to handle our second-parent adoption. We are a same-sex couple and, even though we are married, since I'm not the biological parent, I needed to adopt our son. It's a complicated and confusing situation to be in and Joy made us feel supported and comfortable. We liked Joy right away. She is smart, patient and accessible. She took the time to answer our questions and explain the process that we were about to go through. Throughout the adoption process, Joy and her assistant Andy were helpful, organized and responsive. I can now feel confident that, no matter where we travel, I will be recognized as the legal parent of our baby. I highly recommend hiring Joy!

  Joy represented my wife and me in our second parent adoption. After our first meeting with her, we had no doubts about her experience in second parent adoptions and adoptions involving same sex couples.
